Strategically located between Abilene and Weatherford, Eastland stands as a vital lifeline in a 145-mile stretch, serving as the sole hospital in the region. As a collaborative effort between the Cities of Eastland and Cisco, Eastland County, and Eastland Memorial Hospital, our Emergency Services cater to a diverse population of approximately 18,300 across a vast 932 square mile coverage area.

Our dedicated team comprises licensed paramedics, intermediate, and basic Emergency Medical Technicians, all equipped to deliver prompt and proficient care. Through rigorous training in Basic and Advanced Life Support, coupled with annual continuing education, our staff ensure their skills and knowledge remain at the forefront of emergency medical care. We take pride in our professional conduct and consistently strive to uphold the highest standards in caring for both emergency and non-emergency patients.

With a fleet of four ambulances, each designated as a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU), we guarantee readiness for any situation. In 2022, we responded to over 2,500 calls, showcasing our commitment to swift and reliable emergency services.

Heading our medical team is Dr. Kevin Melgren, serving as the EMS Medical Director, alongside Heather Loftis EMT-P, our Interim EMS Manager. Together, they collaborate to develop protocols that adhere to the highest standards of care for field response.
